Adaptive Page Turner
Meet Alyssa and Adam, the brother-and-sister duo behind this product.
Living with a neuromuscular disease, Alyssa always dreamed of reading a book on a beach. However, she couldn't hold a physical book, and her Kindle was too cumbersome to balance on the beach. So she had the idea of a page-turner. But when she learned she couldn't push the button, she knew she'd have to think outside the box.
That's when she had the idea to ask Adam, the electrical engineer, if there was a way to have a page turner with a touchpad instead. A button that required little to no touch at all. Adam got to work, and the rest was history.
